The waste toner container for the imageRUNNER C5030/C5035/C5045/C5051 is a customer replaceable item and is fairly easy to replace. Please follow the directions below to install a new waste toner cartridge.
When the waste toner container is full, the message <Replace the waster toner container.> appears on the touch panel display. Follow the instructions on the touch panel display, and the procedure described below to help you replace the waste toner container.
If you press [Close], you can continue operations, such as setting modes and scanning originals, even if you do not replace the waste toner container immediately.
NOTE: Use 90% isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to clean the rollers.

Do not expose the Imaging Unit to any light source for more than five minutes. Prolonged exposure to light may damage the unit. Cover the Imaging Unit with a light shield (such as a sheet of paper). Do not touch the shiny blue Transfer Belt.

One of the more common setup related questions we receive is, "How do I get my Workcentre 4260 on our network?" By following the instructions below, you can setup the Workcentre on your network using a static IP address.
NOTE: The following steps assume that the printer is operating correctly and is connected to an Ethernet network connection.
When the printer is powered on the first time after installation, it automatically uses DHCP to obtain its network configuration. In order to manually assign a static IP address, DHCP must first be disabled, and then the IP address, gateway address, subnet mask, and DNS Server address must be manually entered.
Before beginning, make sure to have the following information available. This information should be provided by a Network Administrator:
Step 1: Disable DHCP
Step 2: Configure the static IP address
Step 3: Configure DNS/DDNS
Step 4 (Optional): Enable Dynamic DNS Registration
NOTE: If the DNS Server does not support dynamic updates, this feature does not need to be enabled. Continue with the final step to log out of the machine.
Whenever a Phaser 7760 gets a replace or low message 3 times in succession on certain supplies, it changes a value within the engine NVRAM and prevents further use of the Phaser 7760. Even replacing the supply that locked the printer down can occasionally still leave you unable to print. By following the instructions below, you can clear the Tech Rep Fault on your Phaser 7760 and start printing normally again.
NOTE: If certain consumable replace or fault messages occur three times successively, an Engine NVRAM value is then set preventing further printer use until the Clear TechRep Faults reset is performed from the printer's Control Panel.
To reset the TechRep Faults from the Control Panel:
This error pops up when the printhead in your printer cannot move back to its printing position. The printer relies on several components moving in sequence to be able to print. Any one of these components not moving or breaking will cause a 07,010.43 error code.
Without the service manual it is best to go ahead and call a technician out to try and resolve the issue. The most common cause of this error is a power outage or something similar stopping the machine in the middle of printing or cleaning. This would put some additional pressure on the drum maintenance camshaft and cause one of the lobes to break. This part is normally around $15 and is usually a very quick repair. In some cases the broken camshaft can lead to added pressure on the gear pack. This gear pack is screwed into the frame via some plastic mounts. These mounts can break. Xerox created a special process mount repair kit but the repair time is increased. Below are a few things you can check if you're handy with working on stuff. Either way we recommend you call a technician at this point just to be on the safe side.
Turn off machine and unplug power and network cables.
Remove the rear screw securing the right cover to the printer.
Release two tabs to pull the right cover away from the printer (1 tab near the power plug, the other tab near where you took off the control panel.
Once the right cover is removed, look at the right side of the machine near the front. You will notice a gear pack. Gently shake the gear pack. If it feels loose, the mounts are likely broken. If not, remove the maintenance kit and waste tray. Use a flashlight to look inside the cavity where the maintenance kit was. On the left you should see a big black plastic piece that blocks your view of the front of the printer. This is the pivot plate and it pushes the maintenance kit to the drum to oil it. Gently lift the pivot plate and look behind it. You'll see a metal bar with a plastic lobe. This part is the drum maintenance camshaft. If you can see a crack in the lobe then your drum maintenance camshaft needs replacing.
If both parts look ok, then a tech may just need to come out and rehome the printer for you. There are quite a few parts that need to be correctly set and it's best to have a tech take a look at it.
A typical Xerox Phaser 4510 maintenance kit includes the following parts:
1 fuser
1 transfer roller
12 paper feed rollers
Replacing these parts are fairly straight forward and can be done even if you're not mechanically inclined.
CAUTION: Be careful not to touch the black Transfer Roller when replacing the roller. Handle the Transfer Roller by the orange release latches and the orange tabs on the left and right side of the roller.
