How do I replace the imaging unit in a Phaser 7800?

 Replace an Imaging Unit

  1. Open the Front Cover.

    Open Front Cover
     
  2. Locate the lock lever for the imaging unit cover, and then rotate the lever to the left to unlock the cover.

  3. Open the imaging unit cover.

    Open Imaging Unit Cover
     
  4. Grasp the end of the Imaging Unit to be replaced, and then pull the unit straight out of the printer.

    NOTE: Dispose of the unit as normal office waste or recycle it in accordance with local regulations.

    Remove the Imaging Unit
     
  5. Remove the new Imaging Unit from its packaging.

    Remove packing material
     
  6. Remove the protective packing material.

    Remove protective sheet
     
  7. Align the the Imaging Unit with the holes on the printer.

    Align Imaging Unit
     
  8. While supporting the bottom of the unit with one hand, use your other hand to push the tab to slide the Imaging Unit into the printer. Make sure to push the unit completely into the printer.

    Install Imaging Unit
     
  9. Close the imaging unit cover.
  10. Rotate the lock lever completely to the right to lock the cover in place.

    NOTE: If the lever is not completely in the locked position the Front Cover will not close.
     
  11. Close the Front Cover.
