How do I scan to email on my Workcentre 7830?

  1. Load the original on the Document Glass or in the Document Feeder.
  2. Press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel, and then select [E-mail] on the Touch Screen.
  3. To enter an e-mail address:
    1. Select [New Recipient].
    2. Use the Down arrow button to select [To:] or [Cc:] or [Bcc:] from the menu.
    3. Select the Enter e-mail address and select Add field, and then use the keyboard on the Touch Screen to enter the e-mail address.
    4. Select [Add].
    5. Enter any other additional e-mail addresses. When finished, select [Close].
  4. To enter an e-mail address from the network address book:
    1. Select [Address Book].
    2. Use the keyboard to enter part of the name, and then select [Search]. A list of names will be displayed.
    3. Select the required name from the list, and then select [Add].
  5. 5. To add a subject line:
    1. Select [Subject].
    2. Use the keyboard to enter the required text, and then select [Save].

      NOTE: To modify the default subject that appears, select [Clear Text] to clear the field, or use the Left and Right arrow buttons to edit the text.
       
  6. Adjust the scan settings as required, such as Output Color, 2-Sided Scanning, Original Type, or Scan Presets. 
  7. When finished, press the [Start] button. The printer will scan the pages and transmit the document when all pages have been scanned.
